Shane + Raminta - Epic Two Jack Lake, Banff Elopement

When my little bro told me he was eloping in Canada I said ‘I’m there’. Shane and Raminta planned a super chilled day with only 5 guests including myself. One of my other little brothers already lives in Canada with his girlfriend so they helped with the planning. We made the journey to Banff from Calgary and stopped at a few stunning places on the way including Lake Louise. Being able to shoot elopement weddings is a dream come true.

Two Jack Lake is just beautiful and much quieter than the other lakes that are swamped with tourists! Canadian summers are usually really hot and dry but instead we got rain, rain and more rain. Thank goodness the rain held off for the ceremony and couple photos. It then rained the whole way home from the moment we got back in the cars! I actually couldn’t believe our luck! It was still surprisingly foggy and cloudy though so unfortunately we didn’t get a clear view of the mountain tops but the views were unreal all the same.

It was an absolute joy to watch my little bro marry the gorgeous Raminta who was a boho goddess in her champagne lace dress and flower crown. It was also a dream to have the opportunity to shoot in such an incredible place, Banff is truly breathtaking. Both wore boots with their outfits and Shane went with more of a relaxed vibe instead of a traditional suit and opted for black skinny jeans, shirt and braces (also cheekbones for days!).

They finished off the day with evening drinks at our brothers house to celebrate. They did get given one unique gift in the evening, a small stone in the shape of a penis that my brother’s father in law had found! A stone of fertility we were told, ha!
