Aimee + Joel - Super Fun, Stylish Lodge Farm Barns Wedding

Aimee and Joel’s laid back July wedding at The Barns at Lodge Farm, was one of my favourite ever weddings for so many reasons! To start with, it was my first time shooting at Lodge Farm Barns in Nazeing, and everything was perfect. The ceremony barn had some of the softest, yummiest ceremony lighting I’ve ever experienced. In fact, the natural light pouring in throughout every area of the venue made it a dream to shoot in. They also had a beautiful field of heather with views for miles, just walking distance away, which my lovely couple agreed to lay down in! A first for me!

One of the most memorable moments of this day was that the couple had chosen one of their groomsman to conduct the ceremony. He did it in the most heartfelt and lighthearted way. And then to top it off, he had written the a hilarious and emotional personalised song for the couple which he then performed for them whilst playing guitar. What a legend!

Aimee’s Jane Hill Bridal dress fit her like a glove and was styled perfectly with sheer sleeves and a Made With Love Bridal pearl veil. Such a cool, modern bridal look. Joel didn’t let the side down either with his fitted Jack Bunneys suit, super smart but equally relaxed when worn without the jacket. The bridesmaids and groomsmen fully understood the assignment with the chilled, fun vibes and were effortless throughout the relaxed group photos.

All the suppliers were amazing and so friendly on the day, everything Aimee and Joel had organised came together beautifully. Anyone who knows me, knows I love a drinks reception sax set. It’s the perfect way to set the mood for the rest of the day and get the guests excited for the evening shenanigans. They laughed, they cried and then they partied hard. What more can a photographer ask for!
