Becky + Jamie - Elegant Wedding at The Orangery

Becky and Jamie’s sunny August wedding at The Orangery in Maidstone was an absolute delight to photograph.

The bridal prep room at The Orangery is one of my favourites ever, it’s warm toned, spacious and brimming with natural window light.

The black tie/monochrome styling was totally my jam, and Jamie’s twist on a traditional black jacket was a very welcome surprise. I think I outwardly swooned when I saw Becky’s stunning lace Made With Love Bridal dress. The classic, but modern flowers worked perfectly at The Orangery, neutral white and green flower displays will always have my heart.

They had the amazingly talented Robyn Taylor play sax and sing throughout the cocktail hour. This is always a genius idea, a musician boosts the energy of the guests and sets the tone for the rest of the day. 100% would recommend.

Becky and Jamie’s relaxed, chilled energy made for such cool, editorial style imagery. Even their gorgeous daughter and flower girl smashed the relaxed photo vibe and pretty much ignored my existence which is the ideal scenario for any photographer, trying to capture the moments. I couldn’t believe that after being blessed with a day of blazing sunshine, that we were then fortunate enough to get the most magic golden hour light. Tucked up in the corner of the venue with the daisies!
